In automation equipment, such as robots, automated production lines and CNC machine tools, grating sensors are widely used for position detection. By pairing the grating sensor with the object, the position, speed and direction of the object can be accurately detected. This is essential for accurate position control and navigation. The IPG sensor can act as a position encoder, converting the position information of an object into a signal to accurately measure and control its motion.

 

In addition to position detection, IP grating sensors can also be used for high-precision measurements. By measuring the change between the object and the grating, the length, thickness, speed, Angle and other parameters can be measured. The grating sensor has the characteristics of high resolution and low error, and can realize the measurement accuracy of micron level or even higher. This is particularly useful in manufacturing, precision instrumentation and scientific research, where it can help improve product quality and production efficiency.

 

Raster sensors are also commonly used as photoelectric switches to detect the presence or absence of objects. When the object passes through the raster sensor, the raster is interrupted and the light signal is blocked or changed, which triggers the signal output. This photoelectric switch has the characteristics of high sensitivity, fast response and is not affected by the color, shape and material of the object, and can be used in automated production lines for counting, detecting and sorting objects.
